
An-Cheng Shiau, PhD

Dr. Shiau is Director of Technology of Department of Radiation Oncology, China Medical University Hospital, and Associate Professor, Department of Biomedical Imaging and Radiological Sciences, National Yang-Ming University. Following graduated from physics department of Chung Yuan Christian University, he completed a general medical physics training at Department of Radiation Therapy and Oncology, Chang-Gung Memorial Hospital. Dr. Shiau obtained his Master and PhD degree from National Yang-Ming University, and he has been a chief medical physicist in many medical centers in Taiwan, and was the President of the Chinese Society of Medical Physics in Taiwan. He is an author or co-author of numerous articles in peer reviewed journals, book chapters and presentations at national and international professional meetings, and he is the principal investigator in the project of Radiation Safety and Quality Assurance for Radiation Therapy in Taiwan.
Dr. Shiau has fields of specialty in Medical Physics, Health physics, Radiation detection, Technique of Radiation Therapy and Treatment Planning in Radiation Therapy. His primary research interests focus on the surface dose measurement, small field dosimetry, treatment plan dose verification and particle radiotherapy.
